Ricochet: An Addicted Novel

Ricochet is a new adult romance novel by Krista and Becca Ritchie, and is the second book in the Addicted series. The story is told from the point of view of Lily Calloway, who is a sex addict. The novel acts as a bridge between the events of the first book, Addicted to You, and the third, Addicted for Now. 

Ricochet picks up where Addicted to You left off, with Lily’s boyfriend and co-addict, Loren “Lo” Hale, in rehab for alcoholism. Lily must face her own sex addiction alone and has made a promise to stay celibate for 90 days. This separation puts a strain on their relationship and forces Lily to confront her sexual compulsions without her usual crutch. 

The story follows Lily as she navigates her cravings and loneliness, and she begins attending therapy to confront the root of her addiction. She also attempts to reconnect with her sisters, Rose and Daisy, who are largely unaware of her struggles. In doing so, Lily senses an unsettling connection between Daisy and Lo’s half-brother, Ryke Meadows. 

The main conflict revolves around Lily and Lo’s separation and the challenges they face in their individual recoveries. The inability to be together physically is a major test for their relationship, forcing them to find a way to reconnect emotionally from a distance. Lily’s journey focuses on her personal growth, family dynamics, and confronting her own demons with the help of therapy and her support system, which includes her sisters and Ryke.
